Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Cartethyia ("the Bot," "we," "our") collects, why we collect it, and how you can control it. By using the Bot you agree to this policy.

1. What Data We Collect

Identity Data (from Discord)

• Discord User ID — used as your unique account identifier
• Discord Username — displayed on profile and leaderboard cards
• Avatar URL — displayed on profile cards (the image is hosted by Discord, not us)

RPG Game Data

• Character progression: level, world level, resonance EXP, element, combat stats
• In-game currencies and inventory: Credits, Lunakite, Tuning Modules, Sealing Tubes, Forging Ores, Paradox Cores, Stasis Locks, Resonance Records
• Equipped and collected Echoes and Weapons (names, stats, upgrade levels)
• Echo presets (saved loadout configurations)
• Unique ability name, lore, and effects
• Onboarding answers and resonance profile (playstyle preferences selected during setup)
• Combat record: duel wins/losses, dungeon clears, raid wins, ascension wins, encounters won
• Daily streak, streak shields, and last claim timestamp
• Dispatch status and expedition end times
• Resonance Aura charges and timestamps
• Playstyle interaction counts (used to determine your unique ability)

Social Data

• Social bonds established between users (friend, partner, adopted family)
• Synchrony Affinity scores between pairs of users

Server (Guild) Data

• Discord Server (Guild) ID
• Configured channel IDs for encounters, explore events, and welcome messages
• Custom command prefix (if set by a server admin)

Temporary / Session Data

• Active combat session state (stored temporarily, cleared on session end)
• Active encounter data (stored temporarily until expiry)
• Dungeon and boss cooldown timestamps

2. What We Do NOT Collect

• The content of your Discord messages (chat activity awards EXP, but message text is never stored)
• Your real name, email address, or any contact information
• Payment information of any kind
• IP addresses or device identifiers
• Data from servers or users who have not used the Bot

3. How We Use Your Data

All collected data is used exclusively to provide Bot functionality:

• Displaying your profile, inventory, weapon, and echo cards
• Running combat, dungeon, boss, raid, and encounter systems
• Tracking progression, streaks, and leaderboard rankings
• Enabling social features (bonds, affinity, vibe interactions)
• Generating your unique ability using a local AI model (data does not leave our server)
• Sending level-up and welcome notifications in configured channels

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon, a cloud database provider. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). We apply reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. The only external service that processes data is the Neon database provider (for storage) and the local AI model (LM Studio, running on our own server — no data is sent to external AI services).

Leaderboard data (username, level, world level, duel wins) is visible to other Bot users by design — this is core game functionality. Your bond and affinity data is visible to the users you interact with.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as you use the Bot. You can request full deletion of your account data at any time by:

• Using the /reset command in Discord (if available in your server)
• Contacting us at lokeshwara.rao2972005@gmail.com with your Discord User ID

We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

The Bot is not intended for users under 13 years of age, consistent with Discord's minimum age requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Bot, please contact us and we will delete their data promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
